Job description

1. Ensure safety of men, equipment, materials and methods during all phases of construction work.
2. Prepare safety instructions/ precautions for various construction operations and also for handling various equipments.
3. Coordinate with site manager, site engineers, and construction workmen to ensure that safety instruction are well understood & followed strictly.
4. Prepare accident reports & submit to superiors.
5. Conduct investigation of accidents to determine actual cause, and recommend preventive & corrective action to avoid recurrence.
6. Follow up for corrective & preventive actions recommended.
7. Assist in safety training of workmen.
8. Maintain proper documentation systems for all accident reports/ investigation reports.
9. Carry out surprise checks on site to determine effectiveness & adequacy of system for safety. Highlight wrong practices being followed which are not meeting safety requirements & recommend corrective action. Keep records of the same.
